Children benefit from attending pre-school as it develops their social and motor skills, helps them learn basic activities through play, encourages creative learning and helps prepare them for when they eventually start school. At Boxmoor Pre-school, we provide a unique, structured and safe environment in which young children can learn and develop. Please feel free to call us to arrange a tour of our pre-school, meet our staff and find out more about what we do.
At Boxmoor pre-school, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The EYFS sets standards for the learning, development and care of children up to 5 years of age. The EYFS supports an integrated approach to early learning and care and at Boxmoor Pre-school we ensure that every child has the unique care and support for their current developmental needs.
Working with an online development journal called Tapestry, parents receive regular updates via email so that they can see the progress their child is making each step of the way.
At Boxmoor Pre-school, we are very proud of our dynamic outdoor space. Outdoor learning plays a special part in early years development and is part of the EYFS framework. Being outside has a positive impact on a child’s sense of well-being and gives them first-hand contact with the weather, seasons and the natural world. We encourage all children to play outside as much as possible giving them the opportunity to explore nature, use their senses and be physically active and exuberant.
